Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross all the races showed that every vote counts. All total Ross says there was a 34 percent turnout for the election, well above the 25 percent he had predicted before the general election.
Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross says hand recounts will be conducted in the three races on Thursday, December 5. If any race is tied after the recount the winner is determined by a coin toss. Ross says he doubts however if a coin toss will be needed on Thursday.
The auditor found the former mayor violated the Code of Ethics for Municipal Officers when he created the position and benefits for a job he was later appointed to fill.
More than 4,000 ballots from Tuesday's Primary Election will be counted in the Yakima County Auditor's office Today. Auditor Charles Ross says some close races could be affected. Here are the results from Yakima County:
