No Change in Three Races After Thursday Recount

The Yakima County Auditors Office conducted hand recounts of three close races from the November general election early Thursday. Auditor Charles Ross says the hand recounts matched up with the ballot totals made on election night and no races changed as a result of the counting. No coin toss was needed.
It's now official.
In the City of Sunnyside Council Position 5. Mike Farmer was the winner over Julia Hart by 1 vote.
In the City of Wapato Council Position 5. Frances Ayres was the victor over Tony Guzman by 1 vote.
And in the city of Union Gap Council Position 5. David Hansen won the race with a two vote lead over David Matson.
Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross all the races showed that every vote counts. All total Ross says there was a 34 percent turnout for the election, well above the 25 percent he had predicted before the general election.
