Gas in the Tank? Gas Prices in Yakima Same as Last Week
Time to fill the tank with gas priced the same as it was last week in Yakima, $3.98 per gallon, according to GasBuddy's survey of 91 stations in Yakima.
GAS PRICES DROPPING AROUND THE STATE BUT YOU HAVE CHEAP GAS IN WAPATO
GasBuddy officials say prices in Yakima are 53.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 53.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
The national average price of diesel has fallen 4.2 cents in the last week and stands at $4.34 per gallon. A short drive to Wapato will find you the cheapest gas in the valley $3.48 at the Wolfden.
LOW DEMAND MEANS LOWER PRICES
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy says "Gasoline demand has struggled in recent weeks, falling not only due to the seasonal nature, as Americans drive less as the weather gets colder, but it appears there may be some economic headwinds entering the equation as well."
EVEN THE NATIONAL PRICE IS DOWN THIS WEEK
On the national side the average price of gasoline has fallen 4.6 cents per gallon in the last week, selling for an average of $3.33 per gallon today. GasBuddy officials say the national average is down 24.8 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 42.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
