“To The Moon” – Are You Ready To Go?
Jackie Gleason would be amused. On the old TV show The Honeymooners, Gleason’s character Ralph Kramden was always threatening to send his wife Alice “to the moon”! Ten years from now he might be able to do just that!
A space exploration company called Moon Express wants to team up with Elon Musk's SpaceX to get humans to the moon in the not-so-distant future. Naveen Jain, founder of Moon Express, has said his start-up is willing to work with Elon Musk, telling CNBC, "Essentially, he lays the cables and we do the last mile."
He added that within the next ten years, a trip to the moon could cost as little as $10,000. Jain added, "I believe in the next ten years, there is going to be a gentleman on their knees asking their sweetheart to say honey will you go to the moon with me for honeymoon?" (Daily Mail)
