Guess What Turned Up in Portland Backyards? Strange Plane Debris Raises Eyebrows
More Oregon residents in Portland are finding debris from a recent emergency plane landing at the Portland International Airport. One of a United Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 airplane's doors blew off Flight 1282 shortly after takeoff, prompting the landing on Friday, January 5, 2024. 177 passengers were on the plane at the time, including crew members.
A school teacher discovered remains in his Cedar Hills backyard from one of the plane's doors. Headrests and a passenger's cell phone locked in air mode have also been found near Beaverton, which is about 19 miles away from the PDX airport.

The Feds have noted the public's concerns about flying on Boeing planes and have thus ordered specific Boeing planes to be grounded until further notice.
"Boeing 737-9 aircraft will remain grounded until operators complete enhanced inspections." Federal Aviation Administration
