Yakima’s Oldest Restaurants Include One That’s 114 Years Old and Still Here Today
The 12 Oldest Restaurants in Yakima: Is Your Favorite Here?
We recently mourned the closing of one of the oldest restaurants in town (Burger Ranch on S 1st St), but there are still at least twelve restaurant buildings in Yakima that remain open to this day.
The list of Yakima's oldest restaurants might surprise you! It includes The Sports Center, which is the oldest restaurant/bar in town, built in 1912.
The Sports Center Yakima was built in 1912.
Every generation since the early 1910s has partied at The Sports Center in some form, including mine. The food at The Sports Center is good, the staff is amazing, and the atmosphere is fun and filled with history and lots of nostalgia! Located at 214 E Yakima Ave in downtown.
My two favorite memories of this place include one Christmas Eve when I left for about 40 minutes to go Black Friday shopping and returned just in time to continue partying until the wee hours of the morning, and the day my friends threw me a baby shower in the banquet room.
