Everyone is sickened today by the news that an American soldier is accused of killing innocent Afghan civilians. The Pentagon is withholding the soldier's name until he is officially charged, but apparently he is 38 years old, a staff sergeant and was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington outside of Tacoma. When his identity is revealed, his family will no doubt work to protect his children, but people will be searching for answers. This same scenario happened during the Vietnam War, especially after the My Lai Massacre. Is the Afghanistan War having a similar impact as the Vietnam War? If not, will it?
