Red Cross Helping Resident Burned Out of Home

Yakima Fire Department Firefighters doused flames of a house fire Tuesday. Firefighters arrived at about 7:10 p.m. in 800 block of South 14th Street in Yakima Tuesday night to find the fire in the house and garage. The fire was quickly contained. The Red Cross is now helping the resident of the home that was forced out because of the blaze.
No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation. Damage is estimated at $70,000.
