Another Year and another fun Central Washington State Fair is over. It was a year in which the opening weekend saw good weather and strong attendance during the week but the last weekend the weather decided not to cooperate. Cold temperatures greeted people on both Saturday and Sunday as a cold front moved through the Pacific Northwest.

Final attendance numbers through Friday were nearly the same for last year except last Sunday when attendance numbers were down more than 15, 000 from the year before. The reason fair officials were hoping for bigger numbers during the second and final weekend of the fair. Final fair attendance numbers are expected to be released on Monday.

The fair board will take a short break and then begin planning for the next 10 day event in 2020. But the board also has has the job of finding both a new general manager and assistant general manager of State Fair Park. Fair President and

General Manager Greg Stewart is retiring and the assistant general manager Greg Lybeck starts a new Job as Executive Director of Sozo Sports this month.
