A wind advisory has been issued for our area that will begin to blow Tuesday morning.

There is a wind advisory in effect beginning Tuesday, January 9^th at 4 am until 4 am Wednesday, January 10^th. Southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected.

Areas affected are in Oregon, Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon, Grande Ronde Valley, John Day Basin, North Central Oregon, and Central Oregon. In Washington, Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Washington, Kittitas Valley, and Yakima Valley.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
