A 90 working day project to rebuild and improve various street segments gets underway on Wednesday, July 10. The work includes pavement repair, planing, constructing handicapped ramps, and marking pavement.

Roadway grinding and paving will occur on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

On July 10,  Nob Hill Blvd will be closed for grinding work to all traffic from the
overpass west of 1st Street, easterly to Fair Avenue; this includes the closure of
the 1st Street & Nob Hill Blvd intersection and 1st Street immediately adjacent to
Nob Hill Blvd.

The 6th Street intersection at Nob Hill Blvd will remain open for traffic detours.

On July 11,  Nob Hill Blvd will be closed for paving to all traffic from the
overpass west of 1st Street, easterly to 6th Street; this includes the closure of the
1st Street & Nob Hill Blvd intersection and 1st street immediately adjacent to Nob
Hill Blvd.

For roadway grinding and paving activities, Washington Avenue  will be closed to all traffic from 1st Street, easterly to 14th Street. Closure will be in place from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Detours will be in place both days to redirect traffic. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to be aware of heavy equipment, and to use alternate routes when possible.
