Yakima Prosecutor Holds Forum In Wapato on Wednesday

Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic will be talking about the city of Wapato during an appearance in Wapato this Wednesday.

Brusic is working with the Yakima County Sheriff's Office in an ongoing investigation following the release of a state audit earlier this year. The audit found numerous violations that auditors say damaged the finances of Wapato. The audit also found that the former mayor violated the code of ethics for municipal officers.
Brusic has called Wednesday's community meeting to talk about the investigation and answer community questions and concerns. The meeting is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Wolf Den restaurant, 61 W. Wapato Road.
Brusic says he was asked by concerned community members to set up the meeting. He says he looks forward to giving the community an update and addressing concerns.
