Yakima Police Station Gets New Name To Honor Former City Manager

The Yakima Police and Legal Center on South 3rd Street will be renamed tomorrow as the Richard A Zais Jr. center for law and justice in honor of the longtime City Manager who retired in July. Zais spent 32 years as the manager of the city. The dedication ceremony is set for 3 Friday afternoon. The city council earlier this year made the decision to rename the building as a way to honor the longtime city leader.
