
Items Now Prohibited from the 2026 Central Washington State Fair
We are now two months away from the start of the annual Central Washington State Fair! Excitement is building for those of us who crave fair food and walking around to see all the exhibits, but bringing a prohibited item to the fair can get you kicked out, so make sure you don't break the rules.

Know Before You Go
This year, the fair theme is, "Honoring Our Past, Growing Our Future," and the dates are September 25th through October 4th.
Did You Know: You can rent wheelchairs, umbrella strollers to cart around young kids at the Fair? I sure wish they had this service around when my daughter was little!
Howards Medical will take advance reservations for electric scooters/wheelchairs, wagons, and umbrella strollers. To reserve an electric scooter/wheelchair with your deposit, please call 509.654.9899.
While you can bring in outside food and non-alcoholic drinks (something I did not know you could do), you cannot bring in the following prohibited items to the Fair.
- Personal Checks
- A bad attitude
- Outside Alcohol
- Your Pets***
- Bottles
- Cans
- Hard-Sided coolers
- Smoking within 25 feet of approved areas or inside a public building
- Video or Sound recording equipment during a Main Stage concert
- Gang attire
- Patrons without shirts, shoes, or pants/bottoms
Something else you might not know is that there is a "Mommy’s Lounge" is located at the Fair Farm inside the Valley Building.
***Only Service Animals on a leash, harnessed, and/or tethered are allowed at the Fair.
