Yakima Police have identified a woman who's body was found in a boarded up home last week as 28-year-old Verenis Fabiola Ramos. The woman's body was found in the home in the 6 hundred block of North Fourth Avenue. An autopsy shows Ramos died of a gunshot wound to the head. But Yakima Police Capt. Rod Light says she may have been dead longer then 2 weeks before she was found. He says that makes the investigation tough because police need to narrow down where she was and who she was with before she died.

Light says Ramos was known to authorities. She lived on the street and in abandoned homes in the area. So far no arrests have been made. Light says they are waiting on toxicology reports to give them some more answers about her death. The investigation continues.
