Police Arrest Teen In Gang Related Attempted Murder

Yakima Police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the shooting of two people last Sunday. Police say the teen shot 31-year-old Danielle Rose and her 15-year-old niece on March 17. Reports say the teen was trying to kill the 15-year-old girl.
Authorities say the two women were driving on West Pierce Street near South 6th Avenue when 4 people fired shots at their car. Both were shot and taken to a Yakima hospital then transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Rose was released over the weekend. The 15-year-old remains in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The suspect is being held in the Yakima County Juvenile Jail on a charges including  second degree attempted murder.
