
Yakima Community Invited to Share WWII Artifacts for New Museum Exhibit
The Yakima Valley Museum is calling on the community to help tell the stories of World War II through a special upcoming exhibit.

The museum is looking for unique artifacts from residents that represent the experiences of people in Yakima during WWII.
The exhibit is called "From the Valley to the Front: World War II and the Yakima Valley" and it's set to open in November. It aims to highlight the impact of the war on local residents, families, and the community.

A SNAPSHOT OF THE COMMUNITY DURING WWII
Museum officials say that while not all donated or loaned items will necessarily be displayed, the collection will serve as an important snapshot of the different experiences from the Valley during that time.

Community members are encouraged to share photographs, uniforms, letters, medals, or any other artifacts that can help show the personal and collective stories from World War II.
