Longtime KIT Radio Host Lance Reflects on Decades of Community Connection
Dear Yakima,
After 38 wonderful years behind the microphone at KIT Radio, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you. Retirement is bittersweet; while I will dearly miss the daily connection with you all, I am also looking forward to the freedom and new adventures it brings—especially hitting the slopes for weekday skiing this coming winter!

Many have asked what I plan to do next. My immediate goal is to enjoy some extra sleep in the mornings and take a break from the news cycle to find a little peace and quiet.
I am truly thankful for your trust and support over the decades. It has been a privilege to be your local news guy, to be in your homes and cars, and to share in your lives. The opportunities this job has given me are beyond words.
I want to make it clear that I have no plans to enter politics or seek the public spotlight again—I’m simply looking forward to the next chapter. And I promise, I will not be returning to KIT. But I will be returning to the slopes. Weekday skiing here I come.

Over the years, I have met so many wonderful people and made lifelong friends. I will cherish those memories and hope our paths cross again someday. Thank you for welcoming me into your conversations and your daily routines.
Until we meet again, take care and stay well.
With gratitude,
Lance
