A Swedish couple is glad to be home after completing their four-month honeymoon trip which took in the sights of a blizzard, a cyclone, bushfires, floods, an earthquake and finally, the nuclear disaster in Japan.

Following their November wedding, the 30-something couple set out December and were immediately stranded in Munich, Germany, thanks to the so-called "snowstorm of the century."

They figured things would be better once they got to the beaches in Bali. Instead, they were hit with monsoons. They arrived in Australia just in time for the bushfires in Perth, floods in Brisbane, and a cyclone in Cairns which forced them to spend 24 hours sheltering in a shopping center with 2500 strangers. This was supposed to be a holiday of a lifetime, mind you.

By February, they land in Christchurch, New Zealand, just after it was hit by a magnitude 6.3 earthquake.

Next stop, Tokyo. Two days later. Earthquake, tsunami, fears of a nuclear meltdown.

The couple finally returned home to Stockholm on March 29 and shared their story with Sweden's Expressen newspaper.

And get this: The husband was in southeast Asia when that 2004 tsunami hit. Said the wife: "At least we are fortunate when it comes to love."
