Local Artist is Hoping You’ll Discover His Cool Artwork This Year in Yakima
He's a national artist who calls the Yakima valley home. Denny Driver is hoping you'll soon discover his awesome art. Driver's website, Denny Driver Art says he's been creating art as long as he can remember. He grew up in Wenatchee and now makes his home in Ahtanum.
DRIVER ATTENDED THE ART INSTITUTE IN SEATTLE
A passion for art lead him to the Art Institute of Seattle and after graduation he found jobs in commercial art but he knew his true love was painting. Influenced by great artists like Vincent van Gogh to Jackson Pollock Denny received a big break when his wife secretly brought one of his paintings to a local gallery. A show was scheduled and Denny soon learned people loved his art.
HIS ART IS AWARD WINNING
His website says as time passed he gained recognition and found the success he enjoys today. Throughout his career he's earned numerous awards and honors including "the recognition he received from instrumental rock guitarist, Joe Satriani." Denny's website says his " playful yet serious juxtaposition of elements and subject matter in his artwork" was something that Satriani loved and he gave Denny the first-place ribbon in a group exhibition in Sacramento CA.
HIS HOME STUDIO IS IN AHTANUM WHERE HE'S CREATING AWARD WINNING ART
Denny now makes his home and creates his artwork in Ahtanum where he has a home studio. He's hoping you'll discover his art at art shows this spring and summer in the Yakima valley.
