Which Is Worse – Pit Bull Ban or Pit bull Bite? Who Suffers More?

I will say this. Pit bull fans are a passionate group.

My contention is that their passion allows them to overlook tons of stats and evidence that pit bulls are a special kind of animal.  To hear them tell it, there is no difference between a pit bull, lassie, benji and the taco bell chihuahua. Because all dogs are dogs and it's only the bad owners who can make them "mean".

I suggest they review the literature of studies, statistics, medical center conclusions and the genetic history of pit bulls.  One of the first steps in handling a potentially dangerous animal is to be aware and honest with yourself as to what that potential is.  What situations to avoid. What practices to encourage, etc.  You owe that to the rest of society if you want to bring your choice into our midst.
