The Four Seasons. not the luxury hotel, not the falsetto music group of the 60's and 70's.  Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall -- four different Seasons. I love the changes.  What's your favorite?
Mine has always been fall.  Warm days cool nights early on.  Cool fresh days and cold crisp nights later on.  The changing colors from a hundred different shades of healthy green to the spectacular reds, yellows, oranges and browns.  Fantastic!
I grew up on a farm and saw very few people over the summer.  Fall meant going back to school and reconnecting with peers.  Fall meant duck hunting, muskrat trapping and getting in shape for basketball.
So many of my best memories are anchored in the fall.  It seems a lot of other folks are picking up on fall too.
A new survey of 2,000 Americans by OnePoll for Stuffed Puffs that found that a majority of 56 percent said they're happier in the fall compared to other seasons and a plurality of 33 percent said it was their favorite time of the year, more than any other season.

Among the things respondents said were the best aspects of fall, the top three were watching the leaves change color at 51 percent, feeling the chill in the air at 45 percent, and drinking hot chocolate at 44 percent. I might quibble over hot buttered rum vs hot chocolate but the message is clear. (as fresh fall air)  Fall is fabulous and connects to the tummy!

Other fall favorites include making homemade soup, also at 40 percent. Other baking- and cooking-related things were also in the top 20, including baking pies, having cinnamon apple food and drinks, having pumpkin spice-flavored food and drinks, drinking hot apple cider, and making pumpkin bread.

Yup, fall connects to the tummy!  FYI  Less than 70 days until Winter.
