West Valley Junior High STEM Program Receives Grant

Six schools in the state have been awarded grants and named STEM Lighthouse schools, including the West Valley Junior High School in Yakima. The school was awarded a $19,000 grant and named a Lighthouse school. The school along with the others will develop science, technology engineering and math education, including technical assistance and advice for other schools creating their own STEM programs.
