FAILURE IS SIMPLY NOT AN OPTION
A post on the Facebook page of the Yakima Valley Trolleys says it's a "daunting challenge" to come up with the money but they say failure is not an option. They say they'll need major support from those who love the trolleys not only in Yakima but from around the world. And trolley officials say over the last couple of months it's been gratifying to see how many people support the trolleys and the need to keep trolleys running in Yakima.

HOW MUCH FUNDING IS NEEDED?
There's no doubt a lot of work ahead to raise the needed funding which is more than $7 million. Trolley officials pledge to find creative ways to raise the money including "new ventures, commercial partnerships, or other innovative solutions."
They're also hoping for ideas from the public as well.
A 15 MONTH EFFORT
On Tuesday the Yakima City Council voted against funding the work on 6th Avenue meaning Yakima Valley Trolleys now have about 15 months to raise money. Will you help raise the money or do you believe the trolleys should be shut down? Support seems to be widespread with many people saying they want to preserve the historical nature of the trolleys. Trolley officials just hope that support comes in the form of donated money to help them fix the tracks to Selah.
