Toppenish Police Arrest Rape Suspect

Toppenish police say a 30-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly raped a 19-year-old woman early Tuesday morning.

Police say the woman went into the Toppenish Police Department on Wednesday and said she was the victim of a sexual assault. She claimed the man pointed a gun at her and then sexually assaulted her. She then gave officers information about the man.

After following up on information, Patrol Officers were able to identify the man's vehicle...they located the man and he was arrested. He is facing charges including, First Degree Rape, Unlawful Imprisonment and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
