
Victims of Recent Yakima Burglaries Urged to Contact Deputies
Authorities in Yakima County have recovered more than $100,000 worth of stolen items after busting up a large burglary and theft ring. Two people have been arrested after receiving reports of thefts and burglaries of cabins, businesses and homes on White and Chinook Passes.

Deputies with the Yakima County Sheriff's Office have released pictures of some of the stolen items hoping burglary and theft victims can identify and claim the items.

TWO LOCATIONS SEARCHED IN YAKIMA
Deputies along with the Yakima Police Department Proact unit, the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender’s Task Force, The LEAD Task Force, the Department of Fish and Wildlife, and YCSO served search warrants at multiple locations to find the stolen items. The locations were a storage unit facility near 16th Avenue and W. Washington Avenue and a residence in the 1200 block of E. Spruce Street. A lot of different items were found in the two locations check the pictures and more on the Facebook page of the Yakima County Sheriff's Office.
GUNS AND EVEN STOLEN FIRE EQUIPMENT WAS FOUND
All total they found a stolen gun safe, 21 firearms, a large amount of processed marijuana, several motorcycles, two stolen four wheelers, stolen lawn equipment including a brush hog and two riding mowers, several thousands of dollars in tools, four vehicles, and hundreds more items of value that are still believed to be stolen from around Yakima County. Deputies say they also recovered stolen fire equipment believed to be taken from Mason County. They say they've linked more than 15 burglary and theft cases to the ring.
