Santa is Currently Receiving Letters in Yakima Until December 12
Santa and his reindeer are getting the sleigh up to snuff while the elves are busy with last-minute preparations for the most important day of their year, Christmas morning. Word on the street is there are children out there that are worried, due to Covid-19, maybe Santa won't be able to find them.
Have no fear The Fraternal Order of Eagles and creators Patricia Lakey and Cindy Lakey (Director of Children's Activities), with the Yakima Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and Santa's Helpers have come up with a perfect solution, letters to Santa!
This is a really rough year. And we haven’t been able to spend time with our families for holidays, and sometimes a rough year, really makes the kids question, and think that there’s no way Santa can come because of the shut down.
From now through December 12th you can send a letter to Santa, please include a return envelope with your address including a stamp and Santa will send a letter back to your family.
Letters should be addressed to Santa @ Eagles 307 W. Chestnut Yakima, WA. 98902. If you are interested in reaching out to Santa you can visit the Yakima Eagles 289 Facebook page to message with them directly and please help us spread the word to all the little boys and girls across the entire valley and beyond. It doesn't matter if you aren't from Yakima, Santa is here for all the little ones.
The Eagles is very involved in charity, and very much about family. This was something we could do for the kids around us. When pandemics aren't part of the equation there is always something special going on for the holidays, why should this year be any different?
