Classic Christmas Americana.  Mom (or Grandma) and the kids gather in the kitchen to cook up a batch of deliciously decorated Christmas cookies.

Along the way the temptation to dine on the dough can be too much to resist but you should!

Fox News is reporting that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns all would-be-bakers that eating or tasting unbaked products can make you sick because raw flour and eggs can contain bacteria and salmonella.

Flour is typically a raw agricultural product and hasn't been treated to kill germs like E. coli, also, raw eggs can contain salmonella.

Better to just pop the cookies in the oven and have a bowl of Cookie Dough Ice Cream while they bake.

Do you have one type of cookie you always bake, buy or eat  around the holidays?
