NASA Releases Dazzling Photos of Earth

Many of us remember the images of  Earth taken by the Apollo moon missions, the first time that most people saw complete picture of our planet.

NASA has released some new, brilliant images of Earth.

This spectacular image is the most detailed photo of earth available to date. Using a collection of satellite-based observations, scientists and visualizers put together months of observations of the land surface, oceans, sea ice, and clouds.

In this image from the Cassini space probe, Earth (marked with the blue arrow) is seen from Saturn's rings.

This image, also from the Cassini space probe, shows a rare look at the Earth and its moon.
