Man Shot Dead In Wapato Identified — No Arrests Yet

Authorities have identified a man who died in a shooting in Wapato last Friday as 27-year-old William Gardipee. Gardipee was shot and killed as he was walking in the 400 block of West First Street at about 1 p.m. Another person was wounded and is being treated at a Yakima hospital. That person hasn't been identified.
An autopsy on the body of Gardipee shows he died of a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues today by the Wapato Police Department and the Yakima County Sheriff's Office.
