Man Hurt After His Car Rolls Into Canal

Washington State Patrol are investigating a single car accident that sent one man to the hospital after his car rolled into the canal Thursday evening.

Troopers say 69-year-old Antonio Carmona-Vazquez of Wapato was driving northbound North Track Road, about one mile south of Wapato, when he lost control, drifted and struck a bridge guardrail. His vehicle rolled into the canal upside down. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident. Troopers say Carmona-Vasquez was not wearing his seat belt. Carmona-Vasquez was taken to a Yakima hospital in critical condition.
