Well this is upsetting.  If researchers are correct, I might have been- and Lance Tormey might actually be - a jerk!  Who knew?

Women’s health Magazine, that’s who!  In an article in that otherwise fine magazine, researchers analyzed the body size and proportion of 62 women and 63 men. They also measured for attractiveness using waist-to-hip ratio in women and waist-to-chest ratio in men.

They then surveyed participants to gauge their social and political opinions. All of this revealed the most attractive men were more likely to show signs of selfishness and less likely to believe in equality compared to their less-attractive peers.

Why would that be, how could that be?  Well, the theory is that strong, attractive men throughout history  - like Lance today and me 20 years ago - have always had the overall advantage, so they're not nice because it's unnecessary.

It's thought the same pattern was not seen in women because empathy helps ladies become better mothers and form more social connections. (Women's Health)

To which Lance and I both say Balderdash!  We are both much nicer than we ever were good looking!  Especially me.
