Calling All Artists in the Yakima Valley! The City of Yakima Arts Commission is excited to announce a unique opportunity for local artists to help beautify the community.

THE ART MUST REFLECT THE BEAUTY OF THE YAKIMA VALLEY

Artists in Central Washington are invited to submit digital images of their work for a new garbage receptacle art project themed “Keep Yakima Beautiful.” The initiative aims to celebrate the region’s stunning landscapes, diverse flora, and fauna, highlighting the natural beauty that the Yakima Valley has to offer. Reflecting the reason so many call the valley home.

THE ART CAN BE SUBMITTED IN A VARIETY OF FORMS

Artists are encouraged to produce designs that capture the essence of the area, reflecting its unique characteristics. Submissions can take various forms, including paintings, drawings, and digital art, allowing for creativity and personal expression. The deadline for submissions is fast approaching, with artwork due by Friday, November 8th.

$250 IS WAITING FOR LOCAL ARTISTS

As a token of appreciation, selected artists will receive a stipend of $250, continuing the legacy of the successful Windows Alive! project previously sponsored by the Yakima Arts Commission. This is not only a chance to showcase artistic talent but also to contribute to a community initiative aimed at enhancing the city’s aesthetics.
