Yakima Valley Do You Love Rock Painting? Free Event This Saturday
Have you ever wandered around the Yakima Valley or beyond and come across a painted rock? Artwork from someone who felt inspired, instantly makes you smile, you flip the rock over and sometimes there is a message on the back! You can keep this rock or rehide it for someone else to find and enjoy.
Recently my Mom took my nieces and me out for ice cream in Selah and one of the girls found a rock painted like a gnome. Payton was SO excited, she mentioned she'd never found one before so she was going to keep it. Her little sister Charli took a photo so I could post it on the Facebook group Yakima Valley Rocks. If you don't already follow them, I highly recommend it. It's a fun way to connect with local artists and share what you have found and see what people have created. Whether you keep the rock or rehide, it's always nice to post on the page so the creator and everyone else can enjoy it!
