Unpredictable Weather In Yakima: Will It Snow Again Before Spring?

We're starting to see the sunshine again, most of the snow has melted around town, we're starting to hear a few more birds chirping and all that, it sounds like spring is almost here!

But, if you've lived here for any amount of time, you'll know that the weather can change on a dime.

It's not uncommon for Yakima to get a final dumping of snow before spring officially hits. There are several times when we'd have a pretty dry Winter and then get surprised with an extra foot or so going into March. Here's hoping that's not the case this year but you never know.

When is Yakima Expecting More Snow?

Although the week is going to start of pretty nice with sunshine and highs slated to be in the lower 50s, it's expecting to have some rain and snow on Wednesday, February 14th.

Yep. Valentine's Day. Bummer.

The good news is they're expecting a high in the lower 40s so I don't expect any snow to actually stick. Though the rain and snow mixed with colder overnight temperatures could cause for icy conditions the next day.

And if you don't do something special for your significant other, I'd expect your relationship to have icy conditions the next day as well.
