My 2 Favorite Food Vendors Come Alive on Sunday Mornings at the Downtown Yakima Farmers Market
Every Sunday in downtown Yakima, the town is abuzz with farm, food, and artisan vendors selling their wares at the Downtown Farmers Market. Speaking of food vendors, there are two that are my favorites!
A stop by the market has become a fun Sunday tradition for locals living near Yakima.

The Corn Guy
I don't always stop to buy a plate of food at the farmers market, but when I do, I get the good stuff, like a loaded asada and corn baked potato with from The Corn Guy.
The potatoes are so huge, you could split it with two people and get full. Bonus points for the owner of The Corn Guy, Mikel Garza, who is one of the sweetest people I've run into in a long time!
Be on the lookout for The Corn Guy's mobile food truck across the Yakima Valley.

Aunty Jam's Asian Kitchen
Aunty Jam might not say a lot of words to you, but I think she says a mouthful with her food. I love to get the pad Thai and a stick of grilled chicken curry kabob. I've never chomped on chicken that tender, juicy, and flavorful in my life.
I really love that the pad Thai doesn't come with a bushel full of bean sprouts, thank goodness, because I can't stand bean sprouts!
You can also find her food in Pasco.

The Downtown Farmers Market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday through October 18th at the Yakima Rotary Marketplace pavilion (15 West Yakima Avenue). There's plenty of parking on-site, too.
