Yakima City officials continue negotiations with Robert Harrison who could become the next Yakima City Manager. On Tuesday city staff provided an update on talks with Harrison.

Earlier this year the city picked Harrison from a pool of 4 finalists. Today they continue talks with him with no help from the Yakima City Council. Staff asked for a council member to sit in on talks with Harrison but the council didn't vote to do that on Tuesday.
In other city business the Council voted 6-0 Tuesday to not open a booth at the Downtown Yakima Farmers Market because of COVID-19 concerns. The information booth had been open in prior years.
