Police say a 15-year-old boy is under arrest after a fatal shooting in downtown Yakima on Tuesday. The 29-year-old male victim was shot multiple times at South 4th Street and Chestnut Avenue just before 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. The 15-year-old suspect was booked into the juvenile detention center for first degree murder. Police are still looking for another suspect in what they say was a gang related shooting. Neighbors gathered around the bloody scene. Many were in disbelief that someone was murdered just outside their door step. Police tell our news partner KIMA Action News the altercation started at the nearby bus stop. Officers barricaded the scene for blocks and combed the area. K9 units led them to an apartment building near North 6th Street. Officers held that apartment on lock down for hours, finally arresting the 15-year-old who faces a charge of first degree murder.
