City Warns Of Company Operating Illegally In Yakima

The city of Yakima is warning of a company offering water quality testing services in Yakima that city officials say isn't  licensed to conduct business in Yakima. Door hangers containing a logo with the words “Quality Water Department Water Update” on them have recently been hung at homes throughout the city.
Some Yakima community members have contacted the City’s Utilities Services Division asking whether the water quality testing services are required by the City. City officials say they're not required.
They say if you are contacted by the company do not agree to pay for any service or give them any financial information. and contact the city of Yakima Code Administration at 576-6126.
