You don't have to wait for National Hot Dog Day to find the best hot dog eats in Yakima. From locally owned mom-and-pop joints to food trucks, and a couple of national chains, these hot dogs are worth the money and the trip.

Yakima's foodie scene tends to focus on the different ethnic foods, like Mexican, burgers, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Steak, and brunch cuisine. No one seems to think about hot dogs!

Seven Places to Find the Best Hot Dogs in Yakima

Perhaps you are looking for gourmet-style? Try Winey Dogs. I like to get the combo when I'm there because for some reason, I can't eat a hot dog without some chips and a drink.

Want something more on the creative side? Try Lab-Dawgz. Even though their restaurant on 40th Ave has since closed, their food truck has been spotted serving up their creative hot dogs at several wineries as of late.

Burger Ranch offers hot dogs, too. They are pretty tasty with some of their crinkle fries and fry sauce.

The list wouldn't be complete without mentioning the famous $1.50 hot dogs you can always count on at the Costco food court.

Here are three other local places you can snag a hot dog in town (and for cheap).

A&W (This is an A&W/KFC combo fast food place.)

Locations: 2325 S 1st St and 107 S 5th Ave.

7-Eleven

  • 3908 Terrace Heights Dr
  • 1601 Fruitvale Blvd
  • 810 E Yakima Ave

Circle K

1711 E Nob Hill Blvd

One last thing, if you're traveling on your way out of Yakima, stop by one of the Love's Travel Stops. If you use their app, they'll give you a free hot dog on July 15th!
