A 52-year-old Moxee man was arrested Saturday for burglarizing the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Moxee. Yakima County Sheriff's deputies say they were called by someone who reported a man had abandoned a tractor in the 5 hundred block of Faucher Road leaving the hydraulic bucket up in an unsafe position. Deputies from the sheriff’s office and officers from Moxee Police responded and were able to find and detain the man. Further investigation revealed that the tractor had been removed from the Holy Rosary Cemetery. Deputies investigated the storage facility at the cemetery and discovered that it had been burglarized. In addition to the tractor, a dump truck and 4x4 utility implement had been stolen. The deputies were able to locate a large quantity of stolen property but the dump truck remains missing with an unknown amount of property. The truck is described as a light blue 1963 Chevrolet flat bed dump truck with WA license b41307p.

Anyone with information regarding the burglary or the location of the still missing truck are asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 509-574-2500 or contact crime stoppers.
