32-year-old Jamaica Castro was killed on Wednesday evening in a fatal accident on Route 24 near Morrier Lane in Moxee, Washington.

Accident

At 6:14 PM Wednesday night, Jamaica Castro was traveling in the passenger seat of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck when the driver, 35-year-old Cristian M. Gonzales, suddenly drifted across the centerline into oncoming traffic. The Chevrolet was immediately hit by a 2011 Volvo semi-truck pulling two trailers. The semi veered off the road before a second oncoming semi, a 2003 Peterbilt semi-truck, struck the Chevrolet. Jamaica Castro died at the scene, while both Gonzales and the driver of the first semi-truck, 21-year-old Hector Altamirano, only sustained injuries. The driver of the second semi-truck, 46-year-old Jaime Conterras, was unharmed.
