Join YVCC’s Vineyard & Winery Technology Program for a fall wine education offering.

 

Yakima Valley Community College Vineyard & Winery Technology program will host Food and Wine Pairing 101 on the YVCC Grandview Campus, Room U170;  500 West Main Street in Grandview.

Food & Wine Pairing 101:  Saturday, October 13, 2:00-4:00pm, $25/person

Jeannette Allan introduce you to the basics of distinguishing and evaluating various wine flavors and how they affect food. Learn how acid, fat, protein, sweet, and salty foods enhance or change various components of wines, giving you a new appreciation for this complex and fun process.

Allan is a Level 2 Sommelier, certified by the International Sommelier’s Guild. She brings 8 years of experience in the wine industry, and has taught food and wine pairing classes at First Class Cooking in San Francisco and La Maison Cooking in Yakima.
