The Vineyard and Winery Technology Program at Yakima Valley Community College will host the seventh annual Grape to Glass Gala -- A Winemaker’s Dinner on Saturday, May 31, from 6-9:30 p.m.

The event will benefit Vineyard & Winery Technology student scholarships. Held at the Grandview Activity Center, 401 W. Second St., the event will include a dinner, wine tasting, a silent auction, live music and dancing.

The Winemaker’s Dinner will include a four-course meal prepared by Guerra’s Gourmet Catering. The dinner will be paired with local wines featuring two of YVCC’s Vineyard & Winery Technology first graduates: Federico Lopez, general tasting room manager at Wilridge Vineyards, and Cat Warwick, assistant winemaker at Kestrel Vintners. Wines from YVCC’s own Yakima Valley vintners will also be on the menu.

Music will be provided by Smooth as Jazz.

The annual Grape to Glass Gala supports students pursuing degrees and certificates as they prepare to enter the work force.

Tickets for the Grape to Glass Gala are $65 per person if purchased in advance by May 23. Tickets purchased after May 24 and until May 28 are $75 per person.

Tickets are on sale now.
