With this current run of fabulous weather this post may be a bit premature but inclement fall and winter weather is coming and chances are your bones will tell you before we do!

Evidence is emerging that bad weather really can be felt in your bones. An experiment using crowdsourced data from a phone app found that arthritis patients feel more pain when it is rainy and cloudy outside.

The Cloudy with a Chance of Pain' project is a U.K study involving 9,000 volunteers. They reported their daily symptoms while the app automatically recorded the weather using their phones' GPS. While the study is only half done, WebMD.com says the University of Manchester researchers early results points to more severe pain during an extended rainy period. In addition, understanding how weather influences pain, the researchers hope it will also point the way to new pain interventions and treatments.

So, later on, when you feel your achy joints and bones are signaling the coming of cooler wetter weather, take comfort in the idea that you are probably right!   Now go out and put that sweater o standby!
