THE OFFICE IS OPEN IN THE MAIN FLOOR OF THE YAKIMA COUNTY COURTHOUSE

Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross say the new passport office opens Wednesday September 13. Ross says the office is opening to help people with their passport needs. He says you can apply, by appointment only, for your passport and have your picture taken in one easy location.

IT'S GOING TO BE A VERY BUSY OFFICE

Hurry up make an appointment because Ross says they'll fill up fast. They can be scheduled 30 days ahead of time with new availability being released on the 15th of each month. The new office is the result of the Yakima County Commissioners putting the idea on a fast track and a priority list.

A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR PASSPORTS IN YAKIMA COUNTY

Commissioner Kyle Curtis says “Yakima County is a diverse community with a large demand for passport services. With the closure of our passport services during Covid, families have had to travel long distances to Seattle and elsewhere to renew passports."
