The Bite Of Yakima Wants YOU — Dave’s Diary

This could be considered “misleading”.  Google search for “The Bite” and what you’ll get first is the synopsis of a 1989 movie about the aftermath of a radioactive snake bite:  After a young man is bitten on the hand by a radioactive snake, his hand changes into a lethal snake head, which attacks everyone he comes into contact with. Also, his body becomes filled with snakes. Now, he must prevent himself from hurting others.Ok, I’m sure it was a sensational slice of cinematographic excellence but for our purposes–that’s NOT the Bite to which we would direct your attention!

No, the Bite in we’re going for is the fun and flavorful Bite of Yakima coming up June 28th at the Yakima Arboretum.  Organizers (that’s us) say the Bite is designed to showcase the Yakima Valley food businesses through a fun, sampling event letting everyone know how tasty your offerings are. Each attendee with their five dollar entry fee will receive script for 5 free samples along with the opportunity to purchase further script throughout the day.  The event includes music, kid activities and more.
