Perhaps Newstalk KIT's Brian Teegarden said it best during Friday night's downtown Yakima rally for the Super Bowl-bound Seattle Seahawks:

"Tonight, we're all family," he told the crowd of 12s that jammed Millennium Plaza and braved a damp, chilly night in front of the Capitol Theatre. And two days before the Big Game, the thunderous cheers of the moms, dads and kids bundled in team gear and face paint seemed to confirm his conclusion.

They cheered, waved flags and blew horns as former Seahawk Dr. Dan Doornink offered a Super Bowl pep talk and Yakima Mayor Micah Cawley read a proclamation in support of the Northwest's most beloved football team.

And for one shining moment -- as the guys manning the biggest "12" flag in town hoisted it up the pole atop the Larson Building -- Seahawks fans from Seattle to Spokane to central Washington really were one family.
