The Wine Country Crushers, Yakima's full contact women's flat track roller derby team, is getting ready to skate their home opening bout on March 30, versus the Grunge City Rollers from Lynnwood.

The Crushers have found a home track, outdoors near Washington Middle School.

Cassie Gordon, known on the track as HBIC, was a guest on Tuesday's Mike Bastinelli show. She gave an update on the Crusher's season so far, the team,  the facility they will skate on, and who they hope to draw to the sport as fans. She also talked about finding a permanent indoor facility.
