Hundreds of firefighters are battling a big blaze in Douglas county near Mansfield named the Road 11 Fire. Douglas County firefighters requested state aid to help contain the flames that are burning in grass, sage and wheat crops.  The Road 11 Fire started on Saturday, July 11 and is now estimated at 10,000 acres and growing. The evacuation level was at Level 3 on Saturday but it has since been lowered to Level 2 which means that homeowners need to be ready to evacuate at any time. Hundreds of firefighters are on the scene of the fire along with 35 fire engines, a dozar, seven water tenders, a medical unit and 10 aircraft.
